General Clerk

Facing shelves throughout the store. Receiving freight, unload boxes from pallets, move boxes to aisles using hand trucks. Cut off top of boxes and stock contents to shelves. Worker will sweep, mop and do general cleaning as needed. Occasionally check groceries at checkstand by scanning items, remove groceries from belt/carts. Bag groceries, help customers to their cars. Accept payments and make change.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Use of fingers, hands, arms and legs when facing shelves, receiving freight, unloading pallets, stocking merchandise to shelves.
• Use of hand truck, dolly, box knife, pallet jack, four wheel and 6 wheel carts when stocking freight.
• Continuous lifting of 1 lb to 25 lbs.
• Sweeping, mopping and general cleaning.
• Continuous standing for 7 to 8 hours.

DESIRED, NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Check groceries at checkstand by scanning items.
• Remove groceries from belt/cart.
• Bag groceries (lifting of items 1 lb to 40 lbs.)
• Help customers to car with groceries.
• Accept payment and make change.
• Use cash registers and grocery carts.
