Position Summary
CDPC is seeking a qualified and dedicated Part-Time Dentist to function as a general dental practitioner. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing professional dental duties to restore and maintain patients' oral health, in accordance with Article 133 of the Education Law. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:- Perform comprehensive dental examinations of patients' teeth and surrounding oral structures.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as X-rays, mouth mirrors, and other dental instruments to identify dental conditions and irregularities.
- Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malfunctions of teeth and gums.
- Restore simple and complex cavities using appropriate dental materials (e.g., cement and other restorative materials).
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and clinical standards.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.

- Must hold a valid and active license to practice dentistry in the State of New York, in accordance with Article 133 of the Education Law
- Registration must be current and in good standing with the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
