Degree

in

Social

Work

from

an

accredited

institution.

Current Michigan Department of Education approval/certification for School Social Work

Current

Social

Work

license

through

LARA Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide

individual,

small-group,

classroom-based,

and

crisis

support

to

address

students'

social-emotional,

behavioral,

attendance,

and

school

adjustment

needs

while

supporting

schoolwide

efforts

related

to

positive

behavior,

belonging,

school

climate,

and

student

wellness.

Serve

as

an

active

member

of

the

building's

MTSS

process,

collaborating

with

staff

to

identify

student

needs,

develop

and

implement

Tier

1,

Tier

2,

and

Tier

3

interventions,

monitor

student

progress,

and

adjust

supports

based

on

student

response

and

data.

Collaborate

and

consult

with

school

staff

to

identify

barriers

to

learning

and

develop

proactive

strategies

and

individualized

supports,

including

Functional

Behavior

Assessments

and

Behavior

Intervention

Plans,

when

appropriate.

Partners

with

families

and

community

agencies

to

strengthen

home-school

relationships,

connect

students

and

families

with

appropriate

resources,

and

address

barriers

related

to

attendance,

engagement,

behavior,

mental

health,

and

academic

success.

Maintains

accurate,

timely,

and

confidential

records

and

demonstrates

knowledge

of

applicable

federal

and

state

laws,

regulations,

professional

standards,

and

district

procedures.

Participate

in

building

and

district

professional

learning

and

collaborative

teams.

Effectively

manage

time

and

resources

to

meet

student

and

building
