Audubon is currently seeking a General Foreman. The General Foreman manages the efficient flow and operations for multiple foreman and their crews throughout the scope of the project
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret and communicate contract documents, drawings, and specifications to crews.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily self-perform work activities.
Lead and direct foremen and craft workers to meet production, quality, and schedule goals.
Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and material needs with the Superintendent.
Track daily production and report progress, constraints, and manpower needs.
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance, including LOTO procedures.
Conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks.
Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation.
Ensure all work performed meets federal, state, county, local codes, and contract documents.
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in proper working conditions to minimize downtime.
Maintain quality control of installed work and address deficiencies.
Interface with other trades, subcontractors, and field supervision.
Mentor and develop foremen and craft employees.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:
All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Five years' experience in the construction industry.
Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
Construction safety practices.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
MUST have Commercial Driving License.
