The Pressure Washing Technician is tasked with thoroughly removing scale, glue, and gasket residues from plate packs before chemicals are applied. This process is crucial to ensure that subsequent chemical treatments can operate at maximum efficiency. Technicians are expected to take their time to ensure thorough cleaning, particularly to optimize the effectiveness of chemicals during subsequent steps. Pressure Washing Technicians may need to wash plate packs both before and after processes such as the Caustic Dip and Acid Dip, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive cleaning during the initial wash to minimize residue. For cassette plates, meticulous washing between each welded plate is mandatory to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. After completing the washing process for each plate pack, the Pressure Washing Technician must affix a tag to the top plate associated with that plate pack. The tag includes essential information such as the Work Order number, date finished, customer name, plate type, and the Pressure Washing Technician's initials to ensure proper identification and traceability. Additionally, the Kanban card used to track workflow must be accurately dated, initialed, and stored in the designated card holder for the subsequent stage of production. This ensures smooth workflow progression and clear communication between team members throughout the manufacturing process. If the pressure washing stage experiences a slowdown, the Shop Manager may assign alternative responsibilities to assist other technicians, emphasizing the importance of maintaining productivity and efficiency. Lastly, it is essential for the Pressure Washing Technician's workspace to be kept clean and organized regularly to facilitate effective inspection processes and maintain a professional working environment. 2.5.2 Job Purpose The primary purpose of the Press Washing Technician is to clean each plate before and after chemicals so that a proper inspection can be do completed and stain/product is removed.
