Salary Information: $35,360–$47,840 per year
Hourly Rate:$17–$23 per hour
Description
Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a General Laborer I - Shipboard Support to support the Integrated Total Shipboard Information System (ITSIS) program in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.
This role provides material handling, worksite preparation, general maintenance and qualified Fire Watch support for naval shipboard equipment installation activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support skilled trades personnel with shipboard installation, maintenance, and equipment-handling activities.
Move and stage materials, tools, and equipment and maintain safe, orderly work areas.
Assist with cable installation and general mechanical/electrical support as assigned.
Perform Fire Watch duties only when appropriately trained, qualified, and authorized.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant maritime industry experience.
Ability to follow shipyard instructions, work safely around industrial equipment, and perform general labor duties.
Current documented live Fire Watch Procedures training for assigned Fire Watch duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current OSHA 10-Hour Maritime Safety certification.
