Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Illinois and have at least 2 years of Illinois insurance defense litigation experience. Indiana licensure and experience handling tort and employment matters are strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse caseload of general liability, insurance defense, tort, and employment litigation matters.
• Represent clients through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft high-quality motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to efficiently manage cases and deliver exceptional client service.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for continued growth.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license required.
• 2+ years of Illinois insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong experience handling general liability matters.
• Excellent written, verbal, and courtroom communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Indiana Bar license preferred.
• Tort and employment litigation experience preferred.
• Portable book of business is welcomed but not required.
