General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the team and the operations at an assigned location. He/ she oversees all systems that contribute to running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical guest service standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager works with the Owner Operator to set the restaurant's goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals.

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager doesn't work alone. He or she leads a team of people that have specific responsibilities in the restaurant. This means helping Department Manager(s) and Shift Manager(s) in setting their goals and supporting them in success. This position requires patience, mature thinking, planning skills, the ability to coach and pivot "in the moment," all with the goal of delivering our promise of hospitality to our guests. By improving the guest experience and being a relentless driver of hospitality, sales and guest counts improve.

The General Manager is also responsible for the restaurant's "people plan" which includes hiring and developing of all management team members to make sure that the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future. The General Manager will work with the management team to ensure the restaurant is staffed to meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of salaried general manager experience in the QSR or retail industry. Candidates with 3+ years of salaried or hourly assistant management experience are encouraged to apply also.

This role is vital to the operations within the restaurant because you'll:

• Lead the experience: Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including food production, guest service and experience, and direct crew and manager work
• Plan for success: Proactively lead and manage all People processes including but not limited to:
• Recruiting, Hiring and Onboarding
• Staffing
• Performance Management
• Train, coach and motivate
• Be in the know: Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and food ordering/costs
• Take action first: Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald's standards of excellence
• Inspire and Empower: Maintain high level of standard for guest and employee safety
• Be results oriented: Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence
