General Manager - Building Materials

A market-leading specialty building materials distributor is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead and grow their local operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven leader who can drive sales growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction while building a strong team.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a building materials branch with a strong background in sales, operations, and P&L management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all branch operations, sales, and customer service initiatives
• Lead, coach, and develop inside/outside sales and operations teams
• Manage P&L, budgeting, margins, and cost controls
• Drive revenue growth and profitability
• Oversee inventory, warehouse operations, and delivery performance
• Maintain a strong safety culture and exceptional customer experience

Qualifications:

• Proven management experience in the building materials industry (lumber, roofing, siding, windows/doors, millwork, etc.)
• Branch or general management experience required
• Strong sales leadership and business development skills
• Experience managing P&L and operational performance
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated leader with a customer-focused mindset
