As a General Manager, you will bring positive energy every day to foster a culture of teamwork, belonging, and excellent guest experiences. Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience & Acumen: Minimum 2 years as a General Manager in a restaurant or retail environment with P&L responsibility preferred; strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial reports.
Certifications: Must obtain and maintain state-mandated Food Safety Certification (Illinois applicants required within 30 days of employment; maximum 2 attempts permitted).
Communication & Organization: Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, interviewing, and multitasking skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Kitchen & Operations: Comfortable in a high-volume kitchen environment (knife skills preferred) and capable of managing common food allergens (peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish).
Availability & Physical Stamina: Open availability to work 45+ hours per week, stand/walk for 8 9 hours per shift, lift up to 10 lbs frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Development: Interview, hire, train, coach, and develop team members; create structured development plans and handle conflict resolution.
Team Operations & Scheduling: Write and manage effective schedules to meet labor targets across all shift roles; delegate tasks to maintain high operational standards.
Financial & Inventory Management: Control assigned P&L line items, manage cost of goods, monitor variances, conduct inventory, and ensure daily cash handling/drawer reconciliations.
Floor Presence & Culture: Spend 80 90% of working hours on the floor (Front of House) driving positive team culture, handling customer escalations, and upholding service standards.
Marketing & Community Outreach: Design and execute local store marketing initiatives, community engagement, and promotional campaigns to drive sales and recruitment.
Compliance & Standards: Enforce company security protocols, back-of-house procedures, and local health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Other Duties: Perform additional operational tasks as assigned.
