We are seeking an exceptional leader to take responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, and continued growth of our Construction Division. The ideal candidate will embody a commitment to quality, a strong customer focus, and a disciplined, fact-based approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, manage key customer networks, and set commercial strategies for equipment sales and maintenance contracts.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant degree or diploma in Business Management, Commerce, Engineering, Marketing, Operations Management or related field (NQF Level 7)
• Master's in business management (MBA) or equivalent (advantageous)
• Minimum 20 years' experience in the earthmoving equipment manufacturing industry
• At least 5 years at strategic management level overseeing multiple business functions
• Proven experience in and understanding of the complexities of dealing with multiple customers
• Understanding of procurement, sales, marketing and operations
• Valid driver's license
• Medical certificate of fitness
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Planning

• Formulate and execute the construction division's strategic plan in alignment with KAfH and KLTD strategic growth priorities
• Translate divisional strategy into operational plans, performance measures, and business objectives
• Drive organisational performance and sustainable business growth
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives and strengthen brand positioning and market presence

Operational & Financial Management

• Direct and optimise all operational activities to ensure efficiency, productivity and profitability
• Prepare, implement, and monitor divisional budgets and business plans
• Oversee the planning, monitoring, and control of divisional financial and operational resources
• Lead the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure achievement of operational objectives
• Define and manage the medium‑term CapEx plan
• Monitor divisional performance using defined metrics

Technical & Customer Engagement

• Provide technical sales and marketing leadership particularly within the construction earthmoving equipment environment
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships
• Liaise with global affiliates to ensure alignment with Komatsu standards and international best practice

People Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performance division aligned with Komatsu's values and culture
• Create a safe, efficient, and productive working environment
• Identify talent needs and development opportunities while driving employee growth and maintaining professional discipline

Risk, Contractor & Supplier Management

• Manage contractor and supplier relationships to ensure optimal service delivery
• Oversee division-level risk management, including safety, health, and environmental compliance
