We’re a growing, systems-driven company focused on delivering dependable craftsmanship and a white-glove customer experience. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a General Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day operation, lead the team, drive revenue, and make sure jobs are being completed efficiently and profitably.

This is a hands-on leadership role split between the office and the field, with direct visibility into the performance and growth of the business.

The Role

As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for keeping the entire local operation moving.

You’ll lead technicians and subcontractors, manage scheduling and workflow, support sales and customer relationships, monitor job profitability, and help build the partnerships that generate new business.

This role is approximately 50% field-based and 50% office-based and reports directly to the owner.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of handymen and subcontractors.
• Manage scheduling, dispatch, job flow, and day-to-day field operations.
• Monitor job quality, completion, customer experience, and profitability.
• Handle inbound opportunities and ensure customers receive fast, professional communication.
• Support estimates, sales conversations, and project scoping as needed.
• Drive local business development through realtor, property manager, community, and referral partnerships.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage subcontractors as demand grows.
• Lead weekly team meetings and maintain clear expectations across the team.
• Track sales, job profitability, operational performance, and key KPIs.
• Submit payroll information and project reporting to ownership.
• Identify operational issues and take ownership of solving them.
• Represent Monty’s professionally with customers, partners, vendors, and the local community.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines sales leadership with strong operational instincts.

You know how to manage people and performance, but you’re also comfortable getting into the details of a job, solving problems in the field, and making sure the operation is delivering what was promised.

You should be:

• Sales-minded and motivated by revenue, profitability, and growth.
• A confident leader who can coach and hold people accountable.
• Comfortable managing both employees and subcontractors.
• Organized enough to manage schedules, customers, projects, and competing priorities.
• Comfortable moving between the office, customer meetings, and active job sites.
• A strong communicator with a high level of professionalism.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working within CRM, scheduling, and reporting systems.
• Resourceful, accountable, and willing to take ownership when something needs to get done.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales management experience required.
• Experience in home services, construction, remodeling, field operations, or a related environment strongly preferred.
• Previous experience managing teams and driving performance.
• Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable reviewing job scope, operational needs, and project performance.
• Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
