About the Role
The General Manager is a full-time, exempt senior leader and the primary on-site authority responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective operation of HeadPinz and FastTrax Entertainment Centers across all locations. This role carries full accountability for safety enforcement, regulatory compliance, alcohol service oversight, risk mitigation, and operational control across all departments. The General Manager establishes and enforces a culture where guest safety, employee accountability, and policy adherence are non-negotiable while driving operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management (Primary Responsibility)
- Maintain ultimate responsibility for enforcing all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, health department, and alcohol service laws.
- Oversee and enforce height, age, waiver, and eligibility requirements for all attractions, including FastTrax racing and activities.
- Ensure all staff are trained, certified, and held accountable for safety procedures and alcohol compliance.
- Lead incident response, documentation, and follow-up for guest or employee injuries, safety violations, or operational incidents.
- Conduct regular facility safety audits and ensure timely corrective action for hazards, maintenance issues, or procedural gaps.
- Serve as the primary authority for refusing service, removing guests, or closing areas when safety or compliance is compromised.
Operations & Departmental Oversight
- Direct daily operations across all departments including Guest Services, Attractions, Food & Beverage, GameZone, and Facility Maintenance.
- Ensure proper staffing levels, scheduling, and supervision to maintain safe guest flow and operational control.
- Oversee POS systems, cash-handling procedures, and loss-prevention practices.
- Ensure facilities, equipment, and attractions are maintained in safe, operational condition.
Alcohol Service Oversight
- Maintain accountability for responsible alcohol service across the property.
- Ensure all alcohol certifications are current and enforced.
- Monitor service practices and intervene when necessary to prevent over-service or unsafe situations.
- Act as the final authority in alcohol-related incidents or disputes.
Leadership, Training & Accountability
- Recruit, train, coach, and discipline staff in accordance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
- Establish clear expectations for safety enforcement, professionalism, and performance.
- Lead by example through visible presence, professionalism, and strict policy adherence.
- Ensure all departments follow written SOPs, checklists, and training programs.
Financial & Business Management
- Manage operational budgets, labor controls, and departmental expenses.
- Drive revenue while maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Review reports, incident logs, and performance metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in entertainment, hospitality, food & beverage, or multi-unit operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing safety programs, compliance standards, and large teams.
- Strong knowledge of alcohol service laws, workplace safety, and operational risk management.
- Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly to incidents, emergencies, or operational issues.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business requires.
