General Manager - Glass & Residential Construction

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven General Manager to oversee daily operations for our glass company. This individual will be responsible for managing employees, coordinating projects, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring the overall efficiency and profitability of the business.

We are open to candidates with a background in residential construction, remodeling, project management, or the glass industry. Direct glass industry experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who understands construction operations, can manage multiple priorities, and is committed to delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations and ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage and coordinate projects, schedules, materials, and field personnel.
• Lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable for performance.
• Monitor project budgets, labor costs, and profitability.
• Maintain relationships with customers, contractors, builders, and vendors.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet company quality standards.
• Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges professionally.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and business growth.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential construction, remodeling, glass, glazing, or a related industry.
• Previous management, supervisory, or project leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Understanding of scheduling, job costing, budgets, and project management.
• Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to daily operations.
• Customer-focused mindset and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
