Responsibilities
Operations & Business Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the residential plumbing service and installation business.
- Take ownership of branch performance, including revenue, profitability, expenses, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, improve margins, and expand market share.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including average ticket, conversion rates, technician productivity, callbacks, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop plumbing technicians, service managers, and support staff.
- Establish performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results.
- Partner with recruiting and training teams to attract, develop, and retain top plumbing talent.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive residential plumbing service, repair, replacement, and installation revenue.
- Coach technicians on identifying customer needs and presenting appropriate solutions.
- Improve conversion rates, average tickets, and overall sales performance.
- Identify opportunities to expand the customer base and increase repeat business.
- Partner with leadership to develop and achieve branch revenue and profitability goals.
Customer Experience & Quality
- Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address escalated customer concerns and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
- Maintain compliance with applicable plumbing codes, licensing requirements, and safety standards.
- Reduce callbacks, improve service quality, and maintain operational accountability.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage branch budgets, labor costs, expenses, and profitability.
- Analyze financial and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor technician efficiency, utilization, and revenue production.
- Utilize ServiceTitan or similar field service management software to track business performance.
- Report operational results and growth initiatives to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in residential plumbing, home services, or a closely related field.
- Experience as a Plumbing General Manager, Branch Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership position.
- Strong understanding of residential plumbing service, repair, installation, and replacement operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, revenue, and operational KPIs.
- Proven ability to lead technicians, improve productivity, and drive sales performance.
- Strong understanding of residential service business models and customer expectations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a high-volume residential plumbing operation.
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software.
- Background in a multi-trade home services organization.
- Experience scaling operations, increasing revenue, and improving profitability.
- Plumbing trade experience, licensure, or technical expertise.
- Experience developing technician sales performance and service agreements.
