    General Practice Veterinarian

     

    A veterinary clinic is seeking a General Practice Veterinarian to join its collaborative and supportive medical team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care to companion animals, including wellness, diagnostics, and routine procedures. This opportunity is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy building long-term client relationships, practicing preventive medicine, and working in a positive, team-oriented environment.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide preventive, medical, and routine surgical care for companion animals
    • Perform wellness exams, vaccinations, and diagnostic evaluations
    • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for a variety of medical conditions
    • Perform routine surgical procedures and dental treatments
    • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding care plans and preventive health
    • Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care
    • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
     

    Qualifications

    • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent)

    • Active veterinary license (or eligibility) in District of Columbia

    • Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care

    • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and interpersonal skills
