Machine Operator

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain saw machines used for cutting metal materials in a manufacturing environment. The role involves reviewing work orders, preparing raw materials, installing and aligning tooling, and ensuring quality standards are met. The Machine Operator will program CNC machines, perform routine maintenance, follow safety protocols, and document production activities to support efficient and accurate processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain saw machines to cut metal materials according to engineering drawings and job instructions.
• Review work orders and select raw materials that meet quality standards and specifications.
• Install and align cutting tools and fixtures to ensure accuracy and optimal machine performance.
• Inspect workpieces during and after machining to verify dimensional and visual quality, making necessary adjustments.
• Program CNC machines for cutting, profiling, and stamping operations to maximize productivity and precision.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production quantities, machine settings, and quality checks; report deviations or issues.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, identifying hazards and implementing risk mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements, increased efficiency, and waste reduction.

Required Qualifications

• Experience operating saw machines, CNC programming, or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to review work orders and select raw materials meeting quality standards.
• Knowledge of machine calibration, setup, and maintenance procedures.
• Understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities related to machine operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and inspection processes.
• Prior experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery.

Additional Requirements

• Steel toe boots are required. Jeans and T-shirts are acceptable, provided no rips are present.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine cleaning, lubricating, and adjustments.
