Our client is seeking a mechanically inclined General Shop Person to join our team. This is a hands-on mechanical shop position not a warehouse or shipping/receiving role. Candidates with machine operation or CNC experience are preferred.
Job Description:
Operate and assist with shop machinery and cutting equipment
Cut steel and other materials accurately using tape measurements down to 1/16"
Load materials, adjust machine settings, and perform routine maintenance
Grind and polish metal products using electrical hand grinders
Caulk and Bondo fabricated railings, fences, and steel stairs
Load/unload steel using overhead cranes and store materials properly
Wash steel tubing and prepare materials for production
Maintain a clean and organized shop
Occasionally assist installers or perform outdoor maintenance
