    Job Description

    About DP Electric

DP Electric is a premier commercial electrical contractor with more than 30 years of experience delivering complex electrical projects across Arizona, Texas, and the Southwest. As a 100% employee-owned company, we serve a diverse range of markets including data centers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, aviation, higher education, commercial, and industrial.

At the heart of DP Electric's success is its dedication to cultivating industry-leading talent. Through our in-house training program, DP University, we equip employees with advanced skills and expertise to meet the ever-changing demands of modern construction. By combining technical excellence with a client-first approach, we continue to set the standard for electrical contracting in the Southwest.

    The Opportunity

The General Superintendent leads the superintendents, general foremen, and foremen who build the work. You will own safety, quality, and execution across every job under your charge, forecast and man-load the work from start to finish, and make the staffing and cost decisions that keep several projects performing at the same time.

The job takes different shapes depending on the work. On our large mission-critical builds, including data centers, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, and healthcare, you may own a full campus or carry several concurrent projects, setting the staffing strategy across all of them. On our special projects, you may lead field operations across a portfolio of jobs that turn over quickly, partnering with project managers and holding the client relationships that bring repeat work.

    What You'll Do

    Lead the Field Team

    • Supervise and mentor superintendents, general foremen, and foremen, building a culture of accountability and professional growth.
    • Develop the field leadership bench, identifying and preparing the people who will run our future work.
    • Drive a culture of safety excellence and hold every job to safety regulations and best practices.

    Run the Work

    • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple projects so each one hits its milestones.
    • Set staffing strategy and align manpower and resources with project schedules and budgets.
    • Forecast and man-load projects from start to finish.
    • Review and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints, guiding teams through accurate installation.
    • Monitor budgets and expenses, controlling cost and improving how resources are deployed.
    • Identify process improvements and put better practices in place across the work.

    Coordinate and Communicate

    • Communicate regularly with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to give updates and resolve challenges.
    • Read general contractor schedules and plan the work accordingly.
    • Participate in project planning meetings, bringing field insight to execution strategy and risk.
    • Build and maintain the client relationships that lead to repeat business.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Fifteen (15) years of experience in the electrical construction industry, with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects.
    • Journeyman-level electrical knowledge and field experience.
    • OSHA 30 certification.
    • Valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

    Preferred

    • Journeyman Electrician license issued by another state, or completion of a DOL-registered apprenticeship program.
    • Experience owning a full campus or a program of concurrent large-scale projects.
    • Experience leading field operations across a portfolio of fast-turning smaller projects.
    • Experience managing and developing large field teams.
    • Experience with budget forecasting, cost management, and strategic planning.
    • Experience on mission-critical builds, including data centers, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, or healthcare.

We recognize that experience comes from many paths. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in successful performance of the job is welcomed. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis, or vice versa.

    Work Environment

This is a field-based role performed on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather and jobsite conditions. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, working at heights, and working in confined spaces, and requires wearing personal protective equipment. Expect a fast-paced environment that calls for focus and sound judgment under pressure.

    Why DP Electric

    • Comprehensive health benefits: medical, dental, and vision coverage.
    • 401(k) with company match, eligible after one year of service.
    • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). You are an owner of this company.
    • Paid time off and paid holidays.
