General Surgeon

Woman's Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to join our established general surgery practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

This opportunity offers a diverse general surgery practice combined with a highly collaborative surgical environment. In addition to managing an independent general surgery patient population, the surgeon will work closely with more than 60 OB/GYNs, GYN oncologists, breast surgeons, and other specialists practicing on the Woman's campus.

A meaningful component of the practice involves combined surgical cases with OB/GYN and GYN oncology physicians, providing general surgery expertise during complex abdominal and pelvic procedures. This collaborative model creates a unique opportunity for a general surgeon who enjoys working alongside other surgical specialists and playing an important role in the multidisciplinary care of women.

The practice encompasses a broad range of procedures, including:

• Robotic and minimally invasive surgery
• Abdominal surgery
• Hernia repair
• Soft tissue procedures
• Endoscopy
• Thyroid surgery
• Bariatric surgery
• Combined and complex surgical cases with OB/GYN and GYN oncology physicians

All surgeries are performed at Woman's Hospital, allowing physicians to practice primarily at a single hospital campus. The surgical program offers access to three da Vinci Xi robotic surgical systems.
