General Surgery Physician – Southeast Mississippi – Job #23221620
A busy, hospital-employed general surgery practice in east-central Mississippi is seeking a General Surgeon to join an established surgical team at a 312-bed acute care hospital and Level III trauma center.
Provide comprehensive general surgical care, including patient consultations, diagnostic evaluations, operative procedures, and preoperative and postoperative management.
Collaborate with an established team of surgeons and multidisciplinary specialists to coordinate patient care, maintain high clinical standards, and participate in a 1:4 call rotation while enjoying a competitive compensation package.
Qualifications
Experience performing a broad range of general surgical procedures and managing patients in an acute care hospital setting.
Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery.
Active Mississippi medical license or eligibility to obtain state licensure.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
Strong clinical judgment, surgical proficiency, and commitment to providing safe, evidence-based patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, medical specialists, and hospital staff.
