Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our team as a contractor. The GNA will be responsible for providing direct care to elderly patients in a variety of healthcare settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. Responsibilities: - Assist elderly patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming - Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team - Administer medications as prescribed by the healthcare team - Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and proper body mechanics - Provide emotional support and companionship to patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records - Follow all safety and infection control protocols - Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a state-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program - Current certification as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) in the state of employment - Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a GNA in a healthcare setting - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate and patient-focused attitude - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively - Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening Contract Details: As a contractor with All Assist Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of healthcare facilities and gain valuable experience.
