
Sr. Business Development Manager Mitchell Martin

PurposeThe Global Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the food and nutraceutical sectors worldwide. The role requires a strategic, results-oriented individual with deep knowledge of global food markets, strong commercial skills, and experience building and managing client relationships. The ideal candidate is a proactive business developer who can identify emerging trends, new customer segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company's footprint and achieve sales targets.
Essential Functions
Grow revenue by developing existing accounts and sourcing new customers.Retain and profitably grow sales volume, revenue, and profitability within assigned accounts, territory, or market segment.Sell additional products and services to current customers.Identify additional buyers within existing customer locations.Expand sales into additional customer locations, including Toll Manufacturers and Contract Manufacturers.Sell the company's complete portfolio of products and services.Lead all aspects of the sales process, including solution development and proposal delivery.Develop customer account plans through joint company/customer planning processes.Proactively manage customer satisfaction and service delivery.Maintain accurate customer pricing and purchase order information.Assist Purchasing with supplier development, negotiations, and product sourcing.Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of vitamin functionality, including dosing, food applications, analytical methods, and vitamin pre-blend formulations.Strong understanding of nutritional ingredients and negotiation skills.Ability to communicate technical concepts to R&D teams and explain product benefits to various stakeholders.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada.
Minimum QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Business, or a related field preferred.Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (minimum 6 years).
Systems Experience
Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.CRM systems.
Work Environment
Primarily remote position.Must be comfortable working in shared environments with constant noise.Work schedules may exceed 40 hours per week based on business needs.
