Job Description:
AUMOVIO is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical GM Resident Engineer to join our technical team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this role, you will serve as an on-site engineering resource, providing technical expertise and support to our manufacturing and production operations. As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing complex automotive systems, identifying solutions to engineering challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Provide on-site technical engineering support to manufacturing facilities and production teams
GM Tech Center (30001 Van Dyke, Warren, MI)
GM Proving Grounds (3300 General Motors Rd, Milford, MI)
Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and develop effective corrective action plans
Analyze automotive systems, components, and processes using engineering tools and methodologies
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize operations
Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and engineering analyses
Monitor compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Troubleshoot equipment and systems to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency
Support process improvement initiatives and implement engineering solutions
Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations
Maintain organized records of engineering data, test results, and project documentation
Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site production environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
