General Manager

A well-established seed organization is seeking a General Manager to lead operations in the near east-central South Dakota region.

The ideal candidate will bring a seed industry background and proven leadership experience, particularly supporting distribution and logistics functions. This organization is looking for a steady, people-focused leader who can maintain operational consistency, support existing processes, and align closely with company culture—rather than someone looking to make sweeping changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the location

• Support and optimize distribution and logistics operations

• Lead, mentor, and develop teams while fostering a positive workplace culture

• Ensure operational efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met

• Collaborate with leadership to support long-term business goals

Qualifications:

• Seed industry experience required

• Proven leadership experience in operations, plant, or general management

• Background in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Hands-on, steady leadership style with a focus on cultural fit

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary: $80,000–$120,000

• Comprehensive benefits package
