GMP Cleaning Technician

 
Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading biotechnology company to identify a GMP Cleaning Technician for an onsite opportunity in Hillsboro, Oregon.
 
Additional Details:

• Location model: Hillsboro, OR (Onsite)
• Position Type: 6-month contract with potential to extend
• Pay range approved: $18/hr - $23/hr, depending on experience
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM MST

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning of GMP-controlled areas, including ceilings, walls, floors, drains, stainless steel surfaces, windows, ledges, and vents.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and dust various floor surfaces and designated facility areas.
• Collect and dispose of non-biological waste and recyclable materials throughout GMP areas.
• Follow established safety procedures, cleaning protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are performed according to current procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Complete cleaning records, work orders, and other required documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Use SAP to execute work orders after completing the required training.
• Maintain inventory of GMP cleaning supplies and report shortages as needed.
• Coordinate work assignments with the Supervisor or Facilities Manager and communicate nightly site activities.
• Identify and report issues related to quality, processes, equipment, or materials, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while completing routine tasks with minimal supervision.

 
Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience; experience in cleanrooms, gowning areas, or GMP-controlled environments is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and safety instructions.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete documentation accurately.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely around cleaning chemicals, equipment, and controlled environments.
• Experience using floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, and manual pallet jacks is preferred.
• Hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report deficiencies.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
