JOB SUMMARY

The Company is an industrial gas manufacturer and distributor. The safety of our employees, Customers, and contract carriers is our first priority and paramount to our daily operations. The Government Accounts Manager is responsible for managing existing accounts, preparing bids, and growing specific business segments with Governmental and Municipal customer bases. This position is located in Irving, TX and reports to the Vice President of Product Management.

Essential Functions

Foster and promote a safe work environment both internally and externally

Manage and track bid processes and documentation requests for key customers across bulk and packaged gas as well as other applicable business lines in coordination with regional and strategic account sales teams.

Develop proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies for strategic accounts.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions across strategic accounts.

Develop and maintain reporting structures representative of key account demographics.

Act as a subject matter expert in regards to assigned Accounts to support management decisions as well as communicate Matheson product strategy to the various entities and sales teams.

Drive profitable growth of the business by working with the commercial regions, product management, logistics, distribution, transportation, finance and contract administration.

Maintain knowledge of competitive landscape in regards to assigned products including, but not limited to: competitive situation, new capacity, market trends, and new applications.

Analysis and management of supply / demand balance of assigned products including negotiation of long-term supply agreements to sell or purchase wholesale products.

Create, validate and maintain Strategic Sourcing Plans for applicable accounts.

Evaluate business process opportunities and translate to financial terms to support investment and business case development.

Complete routine periodic and on-demand ad-hoc reports to help evaluate performance of cross-functional business units

Perform analyses to determine product needs, optimize supply and recommend sourcing initiatives.
