    Position/Summary

    The Grants Development Coordinator is primarily responsible for identifying funding opportunities, coordinating grant applications, supporting proposal development, and maintaining an organized grant-development pipeline. This position is primarily own the pre-award process-prospecting, proposal coordination, writing, application management, and submission.

    Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

    • Research federal, state, local, foundation, corporate, and private funding opportunities.
    • Monitor funding announcements from HRSA, HHS, SAMHSA, HUD, state agencies, foundations, and other funders.
    • Assess opportunities for preliminary alignment with organizational priorities, programs, and strategic goals.
    • Maintain a funding opportunity calendar and prospect pipeline.
    • Coordinate development of grant applications from concept through submission.
    • Work closely with contractual writers to draft and edit narratives, needs statements, organizational descriptions, project goals, objectives, work plans, and sustainability sections.
    • Ensure proposals clearly demonstrate community need, organizational capacity, expected outcomes, and measurable impact.
    • Coordinate letters of support, MOUs, attachments, certifications, and other required documents
    • Establish application timelines and assign responsibilities for each submission.
    • Coordinate input from program directors, clinical leadership, Finance, Compliance, HR, IT, and executive leadership.
    • Schedule grant-development meetings and track outstanding deliverables. Ensure all application components are completed before internal and funder deadlines
    • Provide Finance with staffing assumptions, program activities, equipment needs, contractual requirements, and other information necessary for budget preparation.
    • Ensure the narrative, work plan, and approved budget are consistent.
    • Coordinate submission through systems such as Grants.gov, HRSA EHBs, SAM.gov-related processes, state portals, and foundation platforms.
    • Conduct a final completeness review before submission.
    • Maintain confirmation of successful submission and copies of final applications.
    • Upon receiving award, organize a formal handoff from grant development to Finance, program leadership, and grant management/compliance.
    • Provide the approved application, budget, notice of award, deliverables, reporting requirements, performance measures, and key deadlines.
    • Participate in grant kickoff meetings to ensure operational teams understand what was committed to the funder.
    • Finding and analyzing grants from government agencies, corporations, and private foundations to match organizational needs
    • Reviewing text for compliance and ensuring all technical criteria, strict formatting and deadlines are met.
    • Writing compelling narratives, gathering program data, and working with the team to build project budgets
    • Maintaining a master grants calendar, tracking deadlines, and coordinating information across different departments
    • Monitoring award requirements and writing post-award impact reports for funders.
    • Co-lead community events (Health and Fun Fair, Mobile van coordination and other community events)
    • Lead coordinator for planning and organizing community educational programs/projects
    • Schedule prospects meeting with foundations between CEO to discuss funding needs.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum of BS degree in English, Communication, Public Administration, or Nonprofit Management. Ability to write persuasive writing and editing skills translate data and community impact into a clear care for support. At least three years of more grantsmanship and working with funding organizations. Knowledge of and experience with EMR and Microsoft Office systems required. Proven understanding with performance measures and patient health outcomes; Experience with community health center and federally qualified health center (FQHC) services/models strongly preferred; Must possess strong organizational, administrative and time management skills; Must possess strong verbal, computer, and communication skills.
