    Position Overview

    DOT is modernizing its multimedia operations by creating a centralized, shared-services media center to support the Office of the Secretary and DOT agencies. The effort will provide professional video production, livestreaming, podcasting, AV support, and animation to deliver consistent, high-impact, Section 508-compliant communications across the Department.

     
    Essential Job Function

     

    • Visual Design: Design artwork for digital displays, social media, and hardcopy publications.
    • Print Management: Estimate costs for printing/graphics procurement; create bid specifications; and manage GPO contract regulations.
    • Technical Advisory: Provide guidance to agency customers on production methods, cost estimates, and delivery schedules.
    • Digital Display: Manage the agency’s digital display systems (monitors/signage) ensuring all files are formatted for proper playback.
    • Accessibility: Ensure all digital graphic assets are fully Section 508 compliant. 
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of printing/binding processes and Federal Procurement Regulations (Title 44).
    • Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Enfocus Pitstop Pro, and XMPie.
    • Branding: Ability to develop visual media that complies with strict agency branding and graphic standards.
    Travel
     

    The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Office of the Secretary (OST) expects Contractors to be available for travel, as needed for on-site production with USDOT leadership.  Travel is estimated at 60% for East Coast locations, 20% for Midwest locations, and 20% for West Coast locations.


     
    COMPENSATION / SALARY RANGE: 
    STI-TEC adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
