    Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Greeter/Loader in Orlando plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for guests either at the Orlando Airport or at surrounding hotels as they begin their journey to their cruise. This position involves greeting guests, assisting with luggage, and coordinating the boarding process for transportation to the cruise line. As the first point of contact, the Greeter/Loader is responsible for maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guests’ needs are met efficiently and courteously. Hours for this position are Thursday through Monday and fluctuate between 8-12 hrs weekly. Saturday and Sunday availability is required, but hours on these days are not guaranteed.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

    • Strive to deliver exceptional customer service, enhancing the overall guest experience.
    • Ride in a company vehicle to various hotels around Orlando as needed to greet and load guests.
    • Use a company-provided iPad to check in and board guests.
    • Manage and direct large groups of guests efficiently while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor.
    • Swiftly communicate relevant information to the dispatch team to ensure efficient transportation coordination.
    • Ensure that guests are organized and directed to the appropriate buses or shuttles.
    • Answer any questions guests may have about their transportation, the local area, or their cruise experience.
    • Help guests with loading and unloading their luggage onto transportation vehicles.
    • Ensure that the loading and boarding process is orderly, efficient, and safe for all guests.
    • Adhere strictly to company procedures when greeting, boarding, and loading buses to ensure consistency and safety.
    • Be adaptable to changes in the schedule or procedures as needed to accommodate operational demands.
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with all team members and staff to ensure smooth operations.
    • Work closely with other team members to ensure a seamless operation, especially during peak times.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to speak loudly when necessary.
    • Excellent work ethic, must be punctual, dependable, dedicated and have a can-do attitude.
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
    • Enjoy interacting with people and going the extra mile to assist them with questions and concerns.
    • Ability to identify and de-escalate customer situations, problem solve and promote customer satisfaction.
    • Confidence in handling a large crowd in a calm, professional demeanor while remaining organized and in control.
    • Strength to lift, carry, move, and push items weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Proficiency in using an iPad or similar devices.
    • The ability to troubleshoot basic internet connectivity issues.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School diploma
    • 1 year of customer service experience
    • Cell phone with data plan
    • Proficient in the use of modern technology
    • Weekend and holiday availability
    • Travel/Hospitality experience preferred

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT:

    • (Regularly) required to briskly walk up to 100-yard lengths
    • Regularly) required to squat, kneel, push, pull and reach above and below shoulder level
    • (Regularly) required to bend and twist at the neck and waist
    • (Regularly) required to use hands to finger to perform simple grasping
