The Grille Kitchen Helper position involves general prep work including preparing sauces, assembling Grab n' Go items for Retail Dining locations (Midd Express, The Den, Crossroads), and assisting in the set up and break down of prep areas before, during, and after meal periods.
This is a Middlebury Student part-time, temporary position paying $15.88 / hour.
Core Responsibilities:
- Food preparation such as slicing vegetables, making sauces, marinating meats, baking, and portioning ingredients according to recipes.
- Follow daily bulk prep list for Community Table/ Grille meal services as well as "Grab n' Go" order sheets for various Retail Dining locations.
- Ensure that all food items meet quality standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment and work areas including washing dishes and taking out trash and compost throughout shift.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation practices to protect the health and well-being of our customers.
- Work closely with fellow employees to ensure smooth operation during service. Foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
- Adhere to all Middlebury College and Dining Service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
