Grinder – Pipe Fabrication

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (hours TBD)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Grinder to assist with finishing metal piping components in an industrial fabrication shop. This position involves smoothing metal surfaces, removing rough edges and excess weld material, and preparing fabricated pipe components for the next stage of production. No previous experience is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate handheld grinders to smooth metal surfaces and remove rough edges and burrs.

• Remove excess weld material and surface imperfections.

• Assist with finishing pipe spools, fittings, and metal assemblies.

• Inspect components for visible defects and quality issues.

• Follow instructions and production specifications.

• Safely position and handle metal components.

• Report damaged materials and equipment concerns.

• Follow workplace safety procedures.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Care for assigned tools and equipment.

• Communicate with supervisors and coworkers.

• Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• No prior grinding, welding, or fabrication experience required.

• High school diploma or GED preferred; requirement to be confirmed.

• No specific certifications or licenses identified.

• Willingness to learn safe grinding techniques and equipment operation.

• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

• No specific software experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or metal fabrication.

• Familiarity with hand tools or power tools.

Work Environment

Industrial pipe fabrication shop with metalworking equipment, grinding tools, noise, dust, and sparks. Safety procedures and protective equipment are required.
