Grocery Clerk – Afternoon/Evening ShiftMcKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop – Danvers, MAMcKinnon's is seeking a dependable, hardworking Grocery Clerk to join our Danvers team. Our greatest need is for 3:00–8:00 p.m. shifts, although additional hours may be available based on the needs of the grocery department.In this role, you'll help keep our shelves stocked, displays organized and customers well served. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, works well with others and takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming store.ResponsibilitiesStock and organize grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen foods and dairy casesBreak down deliveries and move products from the back room to the sales floorRotate merchandise and maintain neat, orderly back-stock areasFace shelves and keep aisles clean and presentableSweep floors and help maintain a safe shopping environmentBuild promotional displays and request appropriate signageAssist customers in finding products throughout the storeRecord, expedite and retrieve customer special ordersOffer carry-out assistance when appropriateRespond promptly to grocery department pages and requestsFollow all company policies and applicable health and safety requirementsSafely operate box cutters, balers and other department equipmentAssist with training new grocery associates when neededPerform other grocery department duties as assignedQualificationsAvailability to work afternoon and evening shifts, particularly 3:00–8:00 p.m.Friendly, helpful attitude and a commitment to excellent customer serviceDependable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to learn about the products carried throughout the departmentBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionAbility to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching and liftingWillingness to learn the proper use of department tools and equipmentPrevious retail or grocery experience is a plus, but not requiredIf you're energetic, reliable and ready to contribute wherever help is needed in our grocery department, we'd like to hear from you.
