Grocery- Front End Associate

Job Responsibility 

• Process customer grocery orders efficiently and accurately- in person and online ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Customer service focused: addresses customer needs in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly and courteously.
• Manage and maintain Pastry section
• Follow all cash handling procedures – meeting cashier variance policy.
• Maximize sales through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment

Job Skills

• Demonstrates patience, respect and curtesy with customers and Team Members
• Excellent understanding of US monetary system
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
• Strong Computer skills- ability to learn POS system and operate scales
• Strong work ethic & works with a sense of urgency.
• Strong attention to detail

Experience

• 1-3 years prior retail experience desired, training provided

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
