Description

This is a full-time position based out of our Scripps Memorial campus in La Jolla. Must be available to work a day shift of 5:30am-2:00pm Monday-Friday with occasional weekends as needed. Must be willing to travel to all Scripps locations systemwide as needed.

The Groundkeeper position performs semi-skilled grounds maintenance duties, utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. This position performs maintenance activities to include mowing, turf maintenance, planting, fertilizing and trimming trees and other vegetation. Picks up litter and trash; repairs sprinkler and irrigation systems and other ground maintenance duties as assigned. Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization. Demonstrates ability to perform competencies as outlined in FSS Competency Assessment tools. Demonstrates age-specific care as established for area and job title.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• California Driver''s license required.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• At least 5 years Grounds maintenance and operations experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
