Be a part of the team by impacting the lives of members in a medical fitness center where, regardless of one’s current fitness level or medical condition, our team supports specific health and wellness needs.Sagewell is located at 3518 Drawbridge Parkway (inside MedCenter Greensboro) Greensboro, NC 27410 and 723 S Van Buren Road Suite A-4 Eden, NC 27288.The Group Exercise Instructor helps teach group exercise classes for employees, patients, and members. Working under close supervision for routine situations, this role collaborates with participants to lead fitness classes and create a safe and inviting exercise environment.Essential Job Function
Helps lead safe and effective group exercise classes to improve participant health.
Assists with educating participants on the proper form, anatomy, and modifications of exercise moves to promote safety and effectiveness of exercises.
Ensures the safety of participants while using the facility's fitness equipment.
Adapts classes to meet the varying needs of fitness ability to ensure that all participants are benefiting from the class.
Maintains cleanliness of the group fitness studio to uphold a positive reputation with customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Licensure/Certification/Listing
Required: A nationally accredited certification from a recognized organization or equivalent specialty certification such as ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, or Yoga AllianceBLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provder
