Grow Assistant

Department: CultivationEmployment Type: Full-time, non-exemptPay: $18 per hourSchedule: 40 hours per week, generally 7:00 am–3:00 pm. Availability Monday–Sunday, including holidays and inclement weather. Consecutive days off are not guaranteed.

Verdes Cannabis is looking for a dependable, hardworking and motivated Grow Assistant to join our cultivation team. In this hands-on role, you'll care for plants, maintain clean growing spaces and support daily cultivation operations. Reliability, attention to detail and a willingness to perform physically demanding work are essential.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily plant care, including hand-watering, transplanting, pruning and spraying
• Move plants throughout cultivation facilities
• Identify and report pests and plant health concerns
• Complete room and row turnovers, including cleaning and sanitation
• Wash pots and containers and clean equipment, tools and work areas daily
• Collaborate with cultivation, harvest and dry/cure staff
• Follow company policies and cultivation procedures safely and accurately
• Assist with harvesting and other duties as assigned

During your first year, responsibilities will focus primarily on transplanting, watering, pruning, harvesting and pot washing.

Physical Requirements

With or without reasonable accommodation, this role requires the ability to:

• Stand or remain stationary while performing repetitive tasks for up to eight hours per day
• Repeatedly lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach
• Work in hot, cold, humid or confined environments and around strong odors
• Work with live and dry plants that may irritate the skin, eyes, ears or nose
