Financial Services Practice – Insurance - Policy Administration and/or Claims Systems
 
Are you challenged by working with clients to address a range of critical issues brought on by globalization, advances in technology, regulatory changes, competition and the changing demands of customers?  Are you able to travel Mon-Thurs?
 
Solution Integration Practice:
Our client’s Insurance, Solution Integration Practice provides architecture, design, and development of SOA and other integration platform solutions.    
Essential functions :
  • Experience with Guidewire required.
  • Guidewire Integration orConfiguration certification preferred, but not required
    • At least 4 years of experience in managing at least one large Business Integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing,
    • Conversant in three or more integration areas (Message-oriented middleware, Human Workflow, Business Process Management, Business Activity Monitoring, Technology and Enterprise Application Adapters)
    • Large Scale System Implementation Experience preferably for Policy Administration and/or Claims Systems
    • 8 - 10 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
    • A minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations
    • 4+ years of experience participating in large-scale, full-life cycle Service Oriented Architecture implementations. This effort can be within a management consulting or industry environment.
    • Experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations
    • Experience in creating Policy Administration or Claims business cases
 


Preferred background:
  • Experience leading teams through IT Strategy initiative
  • Hands on technical expertise specifically related to Integration to complex legacy mainframe applications
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • A strong Java, Gosu, EJB, BPEL, UNIX background
  • Experience with:
    • Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools,
    • Business rules integration
    • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle
    • Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development or testing of a technology integration project
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
    • Eagerness to mentor junior staff
 
A Bachelor's Degree
An advanced degree in the area of specialization
Strong analytical and technical skills
