This position is a temporary vacancy covering for a School Secretary on leave. The position is expected to end when the current School Secretary returns to work. At that time, the covering School Secretary will be terminated from the position.
Principal Clerk/School Secretary (Grade 23/Grade 23E)
Reports to: School Leader/Headmaster
General Description: Under general supervision, the School Secretary serves as the primary administrative support to the principal or headmaster, performing complex clerical work requiring independent judgment and utilizing current technology.

Terms: Guild, Grade 23 (Refer to the Salary Compensation section on the Career Site for more information on compensation.) The workday of all employees working in traditional schools shall begin fifteen (15) minutes prior to the beginning of the pupils' school day and shall end no later than one (1) hour after the close of the school day (up to seven (7) hours and fifteen (15) minutes inclusive of their break and lunch) unless the employees are excused earlier by their immediate supervisor. The workday of Guild members working in extended day schools shall be seven (7) hours and fifty-five (55) minutes. If there are two Guild members in a given extended day school, the most senior Guild member will work the extended day schedule. Employees working in schools shall work one (1) week after the close of school, but no later than July 3rd.
Terms: Guild, Grade 23E $28.150032/hr
