About the Role

Our client in Plymouth, MN is seeking a skilled HAAS CNC professional to run milling centers dedicated to large-format components in a heavy manufacturing setting. You’ll own the setup tweaks, on-the-fly edits, and performance tuning that keep production moving and quality tight.

A Day in the Life

  • Start your shift in a clean, organized shop, reviewing the day’s schedule and prints for large assemblies.
  • Load programs and confidently make edits—fine-tune fixture and cutter compensation, adjust tool length/wear offsets, and dial in RPM and feed rates.
  • Verify and modify X/Y/Z coordinates as needed to meet tolerance.
  • Continuously optimize CNC code to improve cycle times and surface finish.
  • Operate and navigate HAAS controls with intermediate proficiency.

Schedule Options

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

What You Bring

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience running CNC milling centers on large parts within heavy manufacturing, or a 2-year technical degree in machining.
  • Ability to edit programs and adjust fixture/cutter comp, tool offsets, spindle speeds, and feed rates.
  • Comfort making precise X, Y, and Z adjustments at the control.
  • Talent for improving/optimizing CNC programs.
  • Intermediate knowledge of HAAS controls.

Compensation

$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
