    We're a seed-stage stealth hardware startup based in the Bay Area building a new source of power for frontier applications, from robotics and connected edge devices to the built environment. Our technology turns everyday surfaces into power sources.

    We are a small, focused team of founders, NASA engineers, and materials scientists who have spent their careers turning emerging technologies into products and scaling the operations behind them. Our first products are already in customers' hands.

    \n

    We believe energy is becoming a constraint on what the next generation of hardware can do. We're building a defensible technology platform to change that.

    We look for people who have built something first-of-its-kind, solved problems others gave up on, or have products, patents, publications, or businesses they can point to. Most of what we do has not been done before.

    The role

    \n

    We are hiring our first Hardware Product Manager to help turn a fundamentally new energy technology into a product platform that other companies can design into their products at scale.

    \n

    This is a role with unusually high potential for impact and ownership.

    \n

    You will sit at the intersection of our technology, engineering organization, customers, manufacturing partners, and market strategy. You will need to understand all of them.

    \n

    One day you may be working with engineering to determine which specifications we can guarantee. The next, you may be talking to a customer about their power architecture, debugging an evaluation kit, working through a manufacturing issue with an overseas vendor, or determining whether a new application represents a market we should pursue.

    \n

    There will be a lot to learn, quickly. We want someone who finds that energizing.

    \n

    Today, many customer integrations depend on direct involvement from our technical team. Your job is to change that: understand what customers need and build the products, specifications, evaluation hardware, reference designs, documentation, pricing, and processes that allow adoption to scale.

    \n

    Much of this does not exist yet. You will help define it.

    \n

    The right person will become an essential member of the team driving market adoption, with increasing ownership over our products, customers, and product strategy as the company grows.

    What you'll do

    • \n
    • Own complex problems end-to-end. Take important, ambiguous problems and drive them to completion. Determine what needs to happen, identify dependencies, bring together the right people, and make sure the result gets delivered.
    • \n
    • See the whole system. Understand the technology, product, customer, manufacturing, economics, and market well enough to recognize how decisions in one affect the others.
    • \n
    • Drive market adoption. Understand what prevents customers from designing our technology into their products and systematically remove those barriers.
    • \n
    • Translate between customers and engineering. Develop enough technical depth to work credibly with scientists and engineers while understanding customers well enough to turn their requirements into clear product and engineering priorities.
    • \n
    • Own the product definition. Turn emerging technology into products with clear specifications, electrical and mechanical envelopes, use cases, SKUs, positioning, and roadmaps.
    • \n
    • Build the evaluation experience. Own evaluation kits and reference designs from concept through EVT, DVT, and PVT. Build and bring up early versions yourself when that is the fastest way forward.
    • \n
    • Get hands-on. Assemble prototypes, instrument systems, and run bench and environmental measurements. This is a working product role, not one where every technical question gets handed to engineering.

    • Make commercially intelligent decisions. Understand customer ROI, competitive alternatives, cost, margin, pricing, and market opportunity. Help decide not only what we can build, but what is worth building.
    • \n
    • Drive execution across boundaries. Work across engineering, commercial, manufacturing, vendors, qualification, and customers. When something important falls between functions, take responsibility for getting it resolved.

    • Build the infrastructure for scale. Create the datasheets, application notes, integration guides, selector guides, qualification plans, pricing structures, and processes that allow customers to adopt our technology without bespoke support from the founding team.

      What you'll bring

      \n

      We care more about a demonstrated record of exceptional execution and ownership than a perfectly linear resume.

      \n

      You will likely have 7+ years of experience building and commercializing hardware through product management, product engineering, applications engineering, product marketing engineering, or startup operating experience.

      \n

      • A track record of delivering. You can point to difficult products, programs, or businesses where your involvement materially changed the outcome.

      • High learning velocity. You can enter an unfamiliar technical or commercial domain, ask the right questions, find the right information, and get to useful understanding quickly.

      • The ability to see both the forest and the trees. You can reason about markets, product strategy, and long-term opportunities while still understanding the technical and operational details required to execute.
      • \n
      • High autonomy and ownership. You don't need every step defined. Give you an important objective and you can develop the plan, communicate what you need, and drive it through completion.
      • \n
      • Technical depth. You can earn the trust of engineers, understand why something works or doesn't, and make intelligent decisions from technical data.
      • \n
      • Exceptional communication. You can move between a technical discussion with engineers, a product conversation with a customer, and a strategic discussion with leadership and communicate effectively in each.
      • \n
      • Strong product and commercial judgment. You understand customer value, ROI, competitive positioning, cost, margin, and strategic tradeoffs.
      • \n
      • Hands-on hardware capability. You are comfortable soldering, assembling prototypes, bringing up hardware, instrumenting systems, and taking measurements yourself.
      • \n
      • Resourcefulness. When the obvious solution isn't available, you find another way to make progress.
      • \n
      • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

      You will have the opportunity to influence what we build, which markets we pursue, how customers adopt the technology, and how we scale from early design-ins into a repeatable product business.

      The scope is intentionally broad. The learning curve will be steep. The problems will often arrive before the playbook for solving them exists.

      We're looking for someone with the technical foundation to go deep, the judgment to see the bigger picture, and the execution ability to turn both into results - someone who wants to earn significant trust and help take a defensible energy technology from early products to widespread adoption.

      • PCB design in KiCad or Altium.

      • Firmware literacy and development board bring-up.

      • Energy harvesting, photovoltaics, power electronics, or battery systems experience.

      • Experience launching evaluation kits and reference designs customers adopted.
      • \n
      • Catalog distribution experience through DigiKey, Mouser, Arrow, or similar channels.

      • International OEM and manufacturing experience.
      • \n
      • Familiarity with IEC, UL, TÜV, or regional qualification pathways.
