JOB TITLE: HATCHERY SUPERVISOR

LOCATION: ELLIJAY, GA

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise driver fleet, both chick delivery and egg pickup. Responsible for all Pilgrim''s Pride and DOT transportation related records and reports. Responsible for GPS system reviews.
• Supervise egg procurement and set/set schedule.
• Supervise inovojection process and transfer crews.
• Assist in the supervision of production and maintenance through production supervisor and maintenance AA partner.
• Serve as backup to SAP Buy It/SAP Grow It/Timekeeping.
• Maintain safe work environment, conduct safety training and safety meetings as scheduled. Conduct weekly safety inspection.
• Supervisory responsibilities for personnel assigned, including hiring, scheduling, disciplinary procedures, evaluations, etc.
• Supervision of other hatchery departments as necessary to cover vacations or leaves.
• Promote continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned by plant manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

High School or GED, College Degree Preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Three years hatchery or live production experience and/or three years plant supervisor experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Good people skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills; including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Good safety record.
• Able to serve on call nights and weekends as scheduled
