SA Recycling is in need for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain large vehicles and equipment. This position involves fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using hand tools and specialized diagnostic equipment to ensure the machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Team members will be responsible for:
Requirements under the CBA - SA Recycling, LLC Terminal Island
equipment. Must have 3 years experience if hired into this labor grade from the outside.
Must be able to work alone or with an "A" or "B" mechanic.
This individual must learn to use, service, parts and technical manuals.
Required tools shall be a complete set of standard tools as follows:
The Company shall provide specialized tools not listed.
This individual will need assistance and supervision with the disassembling, inspection and identifying of worn failed components.
He is expected to continue with education and reading technical update manuals and also by taking refresher training courses given by manufacturing dealerships consistent with this program and labor grades. Company shall send bargaining unit employees to school. The parties shall identify courses and manuals such courses shall be at the Company's expense.
