HEAD BARTENDER JOB DESCRIPTION

Bar Petra at Studio Seaview,Where Bold Begins. As a commercial venue housing a 296-seat theatre, lobby bar, lounge, and rehearsal studio, we are seeking a responsible and steady Head Bartender to deliver exceptional and inclusive customer service, while adhering to DHS Safety protocols, and overseeing inventory. Reporting to the Audience Services Manager, the Head Bartender will work consistent weekends and some weeknights, while serving as the point person between bar staff and management. The ideal candidate will have strong & positive communication skills, leadership experience, and be able to pour delicious cocktails on and off menus.

Audience Services Manager + Operational Director

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide elite customer service with all GA and VIP audience members
  

• Work with supervisors for input and insight on leading bar staff trainings
  

• Actively and Proficiently communicate with bar staff, management, and PT staff via Slack
  

• Assist supervisors with weekly inventory counts and updates to staff
  

• Be responsible for Studio Seaview opening and closing duties during scheduled shifts while also ensuring consistency of duties to fellow staff members
  

• Serve as the weekend point person for all things bar related
  

• Other Bar staff duties as assigned
  

NECESSARY SKILLS

• NYC Food Protection Certification
  

• 2+ years of bartending experience
  

• Prior leadership experience in a bar or theatre setting is a plus
  

• Experience with ordering and tracking inventory
  

• Ability to problem solve and anticipate needs of the bar while staying calm and professional
  

• Keen sense of time management, and key holder responsibilities
  

• Ability to walk and stand for 5 hours at a time
  

• Ability to lift 30lbs or more
  

START DATE / HOURS

Thursday November 12th, 2026 (or sooner)

Must be available 11/22, 11/25, 11/27 - 29, 12/23, 12/26, 12/30

20 - 28 hours per week, must be available consistent weekend (Sat/Sun) shifts

Includes one weekday inventory shift + on-going admin hours as required

SALARY

$18 - $20 per hour depending on experience + tip share
