Lead the Kitchen at Cooper Hill Pizzeria!
Cooper Hill Pizzeria is seeking an experienced, dependable Head Cook to help lead our kitchen team and maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and speed of service.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable working every station, setting the pace during busy shifts, helping train cooks, and supporting kitchen management with day-to-day execution.
Pay: $24/hour
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and other menu items following company recipes and standards.
- Lead by example during busy shifts and help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently.
- Work confidently across all kitchen stations, including grill, fry, pizza, and prep.
- Read, prioritize, and coordinate incoming orders to maintain timely service.
- Help train and support cooks on recipes, portioning, preparation standards, and kitchen procedures.
- Monitor food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion control.
- Help ensure stations are properly stocked and prepared for service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen throughout each shift.
- Follow and reinforce all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen management and front-of-house staff to help resolve service issues.
- Help identify operational issues and support management in improving kitchen execution.

Qualifications:
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Prior line cook or kitchen experience required
- Strong experience working multiple kitchen stations
- Ability to lead and support other cooks during busy shifts
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, portioning, cleanliness, and food safety
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification required, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
- Dependable, motivated, and willing to take ownership of kitchen standards
- Prior lead cook or supervisory experience preferred, but not required
