Head Softball Coach and Program Coordinator

Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Head Softball Coach and Program Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the softball program.

The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field, while building a culture of excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship that aligns with the mission of HIES.

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement a comprehensive softball program for student-athletes in grades 6–12.

· Recruit, mentor, and develop assistant coaches to ensure a cohesive and effective coaching staff.

· Plan and lead structured practices and develop game strategies.

· Develop and implement a comprehensive player development program, including a clear plan for pitcher and catcher development.

· Support student-athletes with the college recruitment process.

· Conduct preseason and postseason meetings with players, coaches, and staff.

· Organize and oversee offseason conditioning and summer training programs.

· Manage team equipment, uniforms, and budgetary needs.

· Ensure compliance with GHSA rules and regulations.

· Engage in ongoing professional development through softball clinics, conferences, and program visitations.

· Uphold and promote the school’s mission by fostering a love of learning, respect for self and others, faith in God, and a commitment to service.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

· Proven success in coaching softball at the high school or collegiate level.

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Commitment to building a positive and inclusive athletic culture.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with students, coaches, faculty, and parents.
