    Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of three and four year old children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. Early Head Start programs promote healthy pregnancy, enhance the development of very young children, assist with coordinating children's medical and dental visits, and guide parents through the choices that lead to a healthy family.
     
    OFO’s Head Start program is seeking a highly qualified professional to lead our Center-Based Head Start Program.
     
    Salary Range: $74,890 - $82,379 annually
     
    Pay Range Guide:
    • Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements
    • Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)

    Most Important Responsibilities of our Head Start Operations Manager:
    • Hire, supervise, and evaluate all Center Directors and Teacher/Center Directors
    • Oversee hiring, training, and performance of center teams
    • Monitor the quality and compliance of education programs through monthly site visits and reports
    • Ensure that up-to-date policies are maintained at all sites
    • Maintain a management system for effective operation and coordination of programs
    • Coordinate Day Care licensing applications, renewals and audits 
    •  
    • Requirements of our Head Start Director:
    • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, social services, or relevant field; five years human service experience, including two years of supervisory experience; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license
