Strong Start Early Care & Education | Wilton, CT
Strong Start Early Care & Education is seeking an experienced and passionate Toddler Head Teacher to join our growing program in Wilton. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity for an early childhood professional serving the Danbury, Ridgefield, Wilton, and Norwalk area who is committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children.
Compensation
Starting at $24/hour, based on experience, education, and role fit

What You'll Do
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Connecticut Early Learning Standards
Create and maintain a consistent, engaging daily classroom schedule
Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Lead and support Assistant Teachers within the toddler classroom
Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and creative development
Observe, assess, and document children's growth and progress
Use positive guidance strategies to support behavior and social skills
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and conferences
Encourage positive peer interactions and a strong classroom community
Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices
Ensure compliance with center policies, state licensing regulations, and NAEYC standards
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or daycare setting
Strong knowledge of toddler development and early childhood best practices
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching
A collaborative mindset and positive attitude
