We rely on our Health Information & Compliance Services Coordinator to mentor, Support, Educate, and Provide Guidance to the Health Information Managers and Center Leadership. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain the Health Information Management Department at the assigned center(s) in accordance with Brickyard Code of Conduct and Business Ethics and established policies and procedures.
Must be located in Indiana - this is not a remote position*

RHIA (Registered Health Information Technician)
RHIT (Registered Health Information Administrator)
CHPS (Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security) or HPAA certification

Medical Record Maintenance to include (but not limited to) assembly, maintenance and retention of Active, Thinned and Closed Medical Records

Oversee and perform the preparation, entering, indexing and retrieval of records and information from computer databases.

Establish and maintain procedures to ensure compliant records management practices throughout the company that ensure records inventory is adequately controlled.
Review and monitor contracts for outsourced records storage. Work with legal department and business units to end contracts and transfer documents to company central warehouse.
Create and manage process for central retrieval, storage, retention, and disposition of all company records.
Maintenance of the Master Resident Index to include both In-house and Discharge Resident Information
Medical Record Tracking to include filing, storage and retention of Active, Thinned and Closed Medical Records and Health Information destruction procedures
Quality Reporting to include weekly reporting of audit findings as well as monthly Quality Assurance and Assessment reports
Performs other duties within Compliance Department as assigned.
Travel required within Indiana to support the centers as needed
Qualifications:
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

Three -- five (3-5) years records management or related experience preferred
