Healthcare Controller
Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 (based on relevant experience – firm range)
Quarterly Bonus Potential based on hospital performance

If you're a hands-on healthcare finance leader who understands the full financial picture of a hospital—and knows how to drive both accuracy and operational performance—this is a strong opportunity to step into a visible leadership role with executive impact.

This is a 79-bed hospital with approximately 300 employees, where the Controller plays a critical role partnering directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to guide financial strategy, ensure compliance, and strengthen operational performance.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Lead and oversee all financial operations for the hospital, including:

    • Billing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Collections
    • Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger
    • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting
    • Internal Controls and Audit processes
  • Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and required state reports
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Support strategic planning efforts across the organization
  • Participate in Governing Body meetings and key leadership committees
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and applicable financial standards

Leadership Scope

  • Direct oversight of 2 team members:

    • Purchasing Coordinator
    • Accounting Assistant

What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)

  • Proven financial leadership experience within a hospital setting
(acute care, inpatient rehab, LTACH, or behavioral health)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Stable career progression—seeking candidates with strong tenure (no job hoppers)
  • Strong working knowledge of hospital finance operations, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a lean environment

Additional Considerations

  • Preference for local candidates, but open to relocation for the right individual
  • Highly visible role with direct exposure to executive leadership

This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare finance professional who wants to be more than just behind the numbers—someone who wants a seat at the table, influence decision-making, and help shape the financial future of a hospital.
